MMG, a mining group headquartered in Australia, said on its website on Monday that its Las bambas mine in Peru will produce 305, 000 to 315, 000 tons of copper this year, while saying there is still a high degree of uncertainty about its operations.

In April, MMG cancelled the production guidance interval of 350000-370000 tons for copper concentrate in Las bambas, as Peru extended the emergency state to control the spread of the new crown epidemic.

Cargo in Las bambas has returned to normal after an interruption of nearly a week. Earlier, trucking at tuntuma, 200 kilometers from the mine, was disrupted by protestors blocking a road.

According to local media reports, the community has asked the company to pay $277446 for the development project.

Lasbanbas mine is the ninth largest copper mine in the world. From July to September this year, the output of copper concentrate was 84086 tons, an increase of 44% over the second quarter, but a decrease of 13% compared with the same period last year.

MMG also temporarily suspended mining activities at the kinsevere copper project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Australia's Dugard River zinc concentrate production was 46081 tons, up 6% from the second quarter, the company said. The project had record production in July and August.
