The 7th International semi autogenous mill (SAG) and high pressure roller mill (HPGR) technology conference was successfully held in Vancouver, Canada from September 22 to 26, 2019. This is a grand event in the international mining industry. It is held every 4-6 years. Since the first session was successfully held in 1989, it has been the seventh one. The conference was co organized by the sag Conference Awards foundation of Canada, the University of British Columbia (UBC) Norman B. KEEVIL College of mining engineering and the Canadian mining, metallurgy and Petroleum Institute (CIM) mineral processing branch (CMP), and was consulted by an international advisory committee representing the crushing industry and practice.
The theme of sag conference in 2019: revolutionary progress ([R] evolution), reflecting the gradual and gradual improvement of sag and HPGR technologies in industry. Nearly 800 delegates from more than 10 countries attended the conference, mainly from the United States, Canada, Chile, Peru, South Africa, Australia, Russia, India, China and other mining powers, and received more than 200 abstracts. The conference organized speeches according to different topics, and some papers were published in the form of wall newspaper. At the same time, there were exhibitions of related products and technologies of semi autogenous mill and high-pressure roller mill from more than ten countries, which let the participants appreciate the international leading products and engineering practice. The topics of the conference speech include: 1. Energy efficiency; 2. Optimization and start-up; 3. Testing work; 4. Ore properties and production practice; 5. Crushing design; 6. Liner; 7. The leader of resource development -- crushing operation in sustainable resource development; 2. Women in crushing operation -- gender diversity in the workplace; 3. Student Guidance -- solving the age gap in mining industry.
Our company sent two representatives to attend the meeting. During the meeting, in addition to listening to the speeches of relevant conferences, we also had extensive and full communication and exchange with relevant enterprises on technology and product cooperation in the future, visited the exhibition hall on site, and reached preliminary cooperation intention with several international well-known companies including abb, outotec, polycorp, Eriez, derrick, etc This work has laid a good foundation.
